2019 St. Laurent
We are inspired to connect our Austrian roots to California soil with Ricci's rare planting of the classic Austrian red grape, St.Laurent. We fermented using only native yeast and bottled by hand, unfined and unfiltered.
When the bottle is first opened aromas of fresh cut purple flowers and wild blackberries jump out of the glass. On the palate, it's juicy tart red fruit with some savory notes of tomato leaf and earth. With time the wine opens up and offers more spicy aromas with notes of fresh ground coffee and black pepper. Low alcohol, only 11%, and super fresh fruit notes make it a perfect match for anyone reaching for a chilled red. Try it with your next BBQ or with a mushroom ragu.

Fermentation: Native yeast in 1.5 ton open container, no additions
Residual Sugar: None
Aging: 6 months in neutral oak barrels
