2021 Pinot Noir

This 2021 Pinot Noir is a classic expression of the varietal, it’s 100% Pommard Clone Pinot Noir from Ampelos Vineyard.  Cool ocean breezes and conscious farming keep these grapes from over ripening resulting in a truly elegant Pinot.

On the nose, this Pinot Noir is packed with beautiful floral aromas of lilacs and roses. It’s light - but complex. The weight is classic Burgundy, but the fruit is classic Sta. Rita Hills. On the palate it has notes of juicy bright red cherries, black tea and white button mushrooms. Pairings include slow cooked BBQ pulled pork, whole roasted paprika chicken with chickpeas and spinach, and of course cheese and charcuterie boards.
